Now, Amitabh Bachchan shows his witty side

At the unveiling of the first look of Ravi Chopra’s film Bhootnath in Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan regaled the media with his wisecracks.

The superstar almost made up for having kept the media waiting for more than two hours at Cinemax, Versova, in northwest Mumbai over the weekend. So, the first thing he did when he addressed the gathering was to apologize for being late.

And as soon as Big B’s look in the film was unveiled, the superstar got into funny mood.

When a reporter pointed out that Big B’s ‘Bhootnath’ look appeared similar to his Babban Singh in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag , the superstar looked surprisingly at producer Ravi Chopra , looked back at the reporter, and said: “Yaar, shub shub bolo”.

When asked about his co-star, child artist Aman Siddiqui, Big B said: “He is almost like my leading lady in the film.”

On a serious note, Mr. Bachchan said Aman Siddiqui is the true hero of the movie and that he (Big B himself) only played second fiddle to the kid.

‘Bhootnath’ has Mr. Bachchan playing a grandfather to Aman. The film stars Juhi Chawla as the boy’s mother and Shah Rukh Khan in a special appearance as the boy’s deceased father.

When Big B was asked to comment on his alleged ‘cold war’ with SRK, the superstar said it was created by media.

“On the contrary, when the shots were being readied on the sets, we often played games,” Big B said with a grin.
