HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Sophie Choudhary to show her Salsa moves01st Apr 2008 18.00 IST By ApunKaChoice Veejay, singer and actress Sophie Choudhary will show her Salsa dance skills at the International Salsa Festival. For last few months Sophie has been learning Salsa in Mumbai under the guidance of the Salsa teacher Kaytee. The belle has been so fascinated with the Latin dance form that she claims to have seen almost every movie that has Salsa in it, including the 1988 flick ‘Salsa’.
And Sophie is not unaware of the fact that Salsa has evolved into different local styles like the Cuban style, Los Angeles style, New York style, Colombian style and Salsa disco. However, Sophie is learning the original Puerto Rican form. Although she still has a long way to go to master the dance form, she has learnt enough to perform on stage with her teacher Kaytee at the International Salsa Festival on April 5. A girl of many talents, Sophie also knows Bharatnatyam. Soon she will also come up with her ‘original’ music album, in which she is collaborating with many musicians in the UK. Apart from this, she is also playing her first full-fledged acting role in Sanjay Gupta’s film Alibaug .
