Akshay Kumar loves to flirt with fear

Akshay Kumar began his career with action roles. And now, after a spate of comedies, the handsome star is returning to action again, not just on the silver screen.

Be it jumping from dizzy heights, dangling to a flying chopper, or leaping from one building to another, Akshay Kumar loves to flirt with fear. He has done death-defying stunts in the past and claims that he will continue to do so till his old age.

The darling of movie buffs has been shooting for his full-on action movie Chandni Chowk To China in Bangkok where he also launched a new channel ‘Colors’ on which he will host his TV show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’.

At the launch, Akshay showed a glimpse of what to expect from the show by making a glass-shattering entry on a mobike and later on taming a python and rolling it around his neck.

Ask him how he manages to do these dangerous stunts, Akshay replies: “I do a lot of practice before doing stunts. And we take all precautions. These stunts should not be tried at home.”

Point taken!

But doesn’t he get afraid while doing stunts?

“Mujhe bhi darr lagta hai. But the challenge is in overcoming your fears,” says Akshay.

Akshay recalls one stunt that gave him jitters. It was for Khiladi in which he jumped from an aircraft onto a hot air balloon.

Now, for ‘Fear Factor’, Akshay promises something equally adrenaline pumping.
