Bollywood star Salman Khan has more or less clicked with the masses with his TV show ‘Dus Ka Dum’. He’s made the contestants dance to his tune, made them shed their inhibition, speak without any reservation and even crack a few jokes. And he has made them play the entertaining game of guessing in percentages to rake in as much as Rs. 10 crore. Bollywood’s controversy child Salman Khan has proved that he has got the dum to give Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan a run for their money.
‘Dus Ka Dum’ premiered on Sony TV last weekend and has done fairly well in terms of Television ratings. According to figures by AMap, an overnight audience measurement agency, Salman’s show got the peak TVR rating of 4.5 and an average of 2.81 on the opening day, which was higher than Shah Rukh’s ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hai’ which got the peak rating of 2.3 TVR and an average rating of 1.37. The other newly launched show ‘Junoon – Kuch Kar Dikhane Ka’ on NDTV Imagine (which has Hrithik Roshan as brand ambassador) was much behind with the peak rating of 1.1 TVR and an average of 0.76. The rating of Salman’s show dipped a little on the second day and Shah Rukh’s show picked up, but by and large Salman has managed to keep the show afloat so far. However, the picture about who’s on top will be clearer by the end of this week with the release of ratings by TAM, the official rating agency.
