Forget size-zero, Rimi Sen plays obese woman

While other girls are whittling their bodies away in a bid to be size-zero, Rimi Sen is headed the other way.

Yes, the lovely Ms. Sen is set to play an extremely obese woman in an upcoming comedy by director Tigmanshu Dhulia. The movie would feature Govinda as a conman and Rimi as a fat, flabby girl who has a crush on him.

However, to play the obese woman, Rimi won't be putting on any weight. She would use prosthetics, bodysuits, and layers of make-up to look fat.

Tigmanshu says he liked the idea of portraying a girl as glamourous as Rimi in an obese makeover. However, he was uncertain whether Rimi would give her nod to the role or not.

So, while shooting his film Shagird - in which Rimi plays a journalist - Tigmanshu tossed the idea to Rimi and the actress was game for it.

"She was very sporting and instantly said yes," Dhulia says.

The movie will be shot in London.
