Every year, the proud and patriotic Indian community in the US chooses a Grand Master (from among Indian celebrities) to spearhead the parade celebrating the day of India’s independence. This year Upen Patel has been chosen for the honour. 
Upen, who himself hails from the NRI community in Britain, is delighted to be the chosen one. “It’s a privilege and an honour to be part of the Independence Day Parade. I am lucky to be invited as the Grand Master by the Indian community in LA,” says the actor who was last seen in the flop comedy Money Hai Toh Honey Hai a few weeks back. By leading the parade in the US, Upen would join the ranks of Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan , Bipasha Basu and Priyanka Chopra .
