HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD 'Drona' banking on special effects to rock box-office25th Aug 2008 11.00 IST By Agencies Abhishek Bachchan – Priyanka Chopra starrer Drona , is making news before its release, thanks to the special effects (SFX) the movie boasts of. According to reports, ‘Drona’, which is a fantasy-action film also starring, Jaya Bachchan and Kay Kay Menon delves into ancient Indian myths, legends and shows a world populated by magicians rather than machines. 
The Goldie Behl directed movie will see award-winning action coordinator Tom Delmar choreograph the action sequences, Delmar has previously worked on Guy Ritchie’s ‘Snatch’. Abhishek and Priyanka have been trained by London based sword master Richard Ryan, who had trained Brad Pitt and Eric Bana for ‘Troy’. Sword-based martial arts like Kalaripayat and Chhau will be featured in the film along with the Sikh martial arts Gatka. Eros-controlled EyeQube Studios has roped in 250 visual effects artists including animators, designers, matte painters and developers, for the flick. The dismal fate of Harman Baweja and Priyanka starrer Love Story 2050 has triggered a debate amongst the movie lovers as to whether the Indian audience is all set for films based totally on SFX. Hope that the special effects will cast a magic for ‘Drona’ at the box-office and it won’t go down the ‘Love Story 2050’ way.
