Big B raves about Sir Ben

Sir Ben, famous for his impeccable performance as Mahatma Gandhi in Richard Attenborough’s multiple Oscar-winning ‘Gandhi’, makes his Bollywood debut with director Leena Yadav’s film Teen Patti which is about a professor who teaches the art of gambling to his five protégés.

In the film’s latest shooting schedule in London, Sir Ben joined the Big B for a number of scenes at an exotic casino.


“It's been a joy to work with Sir Ben. He is generous and polite, prepared and competent and cooperative with every breath. It is no wonder then that we have finished what would have involved us all for several more days,” Mr. Bachchan wrote on his blog.

The superstar has also been floored by the crew’s efficiency. He wrote: “(It's)...a joy really to be working with a crew that respects efficiency and time and a colleague who is professional to the core.”

During the shoot with Sir Ben, Big B’s dressing wasn’t up to the mark while the English legend was suavely dressed.

Big B explained this difference in looks as the character eccentricities.

“We are elder academicians (in the film); me more than him. I'm a math professor, generally known to be absent minded, hesitant in public and not generating too much care on clothing. Sir Ben is greatly more smooth and suave in the film.”

The movie also stars Madhavan and newcomers Siddharth Kher, Dhruv Ganesh, Vaibhav Talwar and Shraddha Kapoor.
