Farhan Akhtar does bhangra with dad

Farhan Akhtar who celebrates his 35th birthday today, that is January 9, got a pleasant surprise on the sets of his show when his father Javed Akhtar dropped by to wish the sonny dear and to shake a leg as well. The programmed will be aired today.

Generally Javed saab shies away from dance. But on the show, Farhan made it easy for his papa dear to jive to some Punjabi music.

‘Oye, It’s Friday’ is hosted by Farhan Akhtar for NDTV Imagine and airs on Fridays, where celebs not only come to the hot seat for a tête-à-tête with witty Farhan, but also dance with him and perform on the stage.


This special Friday, Farhan has ravishing Deepika Padukone , doing kung fu with him, chatting about her new release Chandni Chowk To China , about her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor , and her dreams and hopes of settling down and getting married.

Sexy Sherlyn Chopra will give a hot and sizzling performance with her songs ‘Dard-e-Sherlyn’ and ‘Khawaab Dekhe Jhoothe Moothey’. And there is also a surprise from Sweden, the man on wheels, Mattias Lindstorm, who, with his ‘Cyre Wheel’ act, is ready to spellbind everyone.

The show will come to an end with Javed Akhtar, who visited the sets and surprised Farhan. Later, the poet-cum-writer revealed some secrets of Farhan’s childhood. And on the ending note they all got into some Bhangra mood.
