It's Ranbir Kapoor, not Imran Khan!

The confirmation that comes from Yashraj Films scotches all rumours that said Ranbir and Imran Khan are working together in Shimit’s film.

For Shimit it’s a long gap of almost one-and-half years after Chak De India and still the director has to finalize the cast for his next. On the contrary, speculation was abuzz in media that Ranbir and Imran will be seen together for the first time in his film. But that’s not true; it’s only Ranbir Kapoor in the film.


Who is paired opposite Ranbir is not known. According to the spokesperson of Yashraj Films, the director and producer haven’t decided on the heroine. Since the script demands only a single hero, Imran Khan is definitely not in the movie. Remaining details are kept under wraps, keeping with the tradition of Yashraj.

Shimit started his career by directing Ab Tak Chhappan and followed it up with ‘Chak De India’. Both films were realistic, hard-hitting and gripping. So let’s see what he is planning this time with Yashraj.

Since audiences now like to watch movies having different edge unlike usual mushy family drama, the banner Yashraj Films is trying to match up with the taste, and thus evolving with time, trying to give quality movies.

Their first release this year is New York , set against the back-drop of 9/11 attacks. It stars actors who have never worked with Yashraj banner like Neil Nitin Mukesh and lady-luck Katrina Kaif , apart from John Abraham who worked in the banner’s Dhoom .
