No place for Kajol in Ajay's next directorial film

Devgan's first film as director, U Me Aur Hum was critically appreciated even though it did not set the cash registers ringing. Now, the actor is ready to don the director's hat again, but this time he won't direct a love story. Rather Devgan's next would be an action film.

"I'm directing a film in mid-2009. There is no role for Kajol in my next film. The leading lady's role in that film doesn't suit her," Devgan is quoted by a news agency.


The actor added that his next film would be "an action film with an undercurrent of dark humour," but he did not reveal what kind of leading lady is required for the film.

"I believe audiences want to see me back in action...The action in my directorial venture will be something unusual," said Devgan, who began his career in an action role in 'Phool Aur Kaante'.

Ajay says doing stunts have become a lot safer over the years. He has recently been shooting his home production All The Best , a comedy film, and director Milan Luthria's Once Upon A Time In Mumbai which is an action film.
