Rakeysh Mehra's next would be an animation film

After making films with social messages, Mehra is now set to dabble in a different genre altogether – animation. The director says he would make it for his kids.

“I'm making an animation film… I have to make something for my kids. They don't understand what I make. So I have to make something for them,” Mehra is quoted as saying by a news agency.


Mehra added that the film he plans is still in initial stages and would take a few years to make.

“I have started working on it... it's still in the developing stage…It'll take me around two to three years,” Mehra is quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Mehra’s ‘Delhi 6’, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor , is drawing extreme reactions from viewers and critics. People are either loving the movie or hating it. It’s true that the film is slow at places and its plot progression stagnates after the first twenty minutes of the first half, the film does have some fine cinematic strokes apart from good cinematography and excellent music by A R Rahman .
