Shahrukh’s shoulder surgery successful

The superstar had been bearing pain in his left shoulder for a couple of months. He was injured while shooting a stunt for Dulha Mil Gaya and went through many physiotherapy sessions to heal the pain. In fact, he shot the first schedule of Karan Johar’s film My Name Is Khan in the US with nagging pain in his shoulder.

The doctors had advised the superstar to undergo a surgery as soon as possible, but he delayed it for the release of his film Billu Barber which hit the theatres last week.


Finally, the actor underwent an arthroscopic surgery on left shoulder on Monday. Initially, he had planned to go to London for the surgery (he had had his back surgery done in London many years ago) but he eventually decided to get it done under the guidance of Sanjay Desai, the orthopaedic surgeon at Breach Candy.

According to reports, the surgery has been successful and SRK is recovering well. He is likely to be discharged within few days. However, he will be out of action in Bollywood for some months. He plans to take some rest before the beginning of the next IPL season in April. But he is expected to resume work in Bollywood only by May or June.
