If you are a lover of romantic comedies, then you will find director Siva Nageswara Rao’s Telugu film Mr & Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy delightful to watch.
The movie, starring Sivaji and Laila in the leading roles, is the story of an orphan and an atheist Krishnamurthy, who works for a private channel. Driven by circumstances, he visits Annavaram temple where he meets a beautiful girl named Sailaja (Laila).
The girl intends to pursue higher studies in the United States. Unlike, Krishnamurthy, Sailaja is very religious. In fact, she too is on the way to Annavaram to invoke the blessings of the lord.
As fate would have it, Murthy and Sailaja find themselves having to share a hotel room as the hotel gives accommodation only for couples.
Needless to say, they fall in love. However, they go their separate ways after darshan of the lord. Rest of the story details how the lovers are united in the end.
Director Siva Nageswara Rao has done a competent job by coming out with an eminently watchable film. Sivaji is in his elements as Krishnamurthy. His sense of timing stands him in good stead. It would be no exaggeration to say that Sivaji's flair for comedy, ably assisted by lovely Laila, lifts the film.
