A role in a film directed by celebrated director Adoor Gopalakrishnan is a dream come true for Malayalam actors and actresses.
The latest heroine who has been lucky enough to get a role in Adoor's latest film is none other than the number one actress of Mollywood, Kavya Madhavan .
Diminutive Kavya is understandably over the moon on the slice of luck that has come her way, according to Mollywood grapevine.
The film, titled 'Moonnu Pennungal' (three women) has, of course, two more heroines : Bollywood actress Nandita Das and Padmapriya . The film is expected to be shot in Thiruvananthapuram and Ambalappuzha in Kerala, according to the buzz.
The phenomenal success of Classmates has leveraged Kavya's status in the Malayalam film industry manifold, says the grapevine.
By managing to snap up the prestigious project, Ms Madhavan has in a way scored over her nearest rival in Malayalam cinema, Padmapriya.
