The trend is unmistakable. Young Malayalam hero Prithviraj is set firmly on the fast line to superstardom.
The turning point in Prithvi’s career came with the super success of ‘Vaasthavam’ in which he has given a riveting performance in the lead role.
So much so, Prithvi walked away with Kerala Government’s best actor award belying expectations that the award will go either to Mammootty or Mohanlal
The latest news from Mollywood shows that Prithvi is well and truly into the top league.
He has been signed up for the lead role in the film to be directed by Shaji Kailas, for the first time. The film will be produced by M. Renjith and script penned by AK Sajan.
Incidentally, the same team worked behind the Suresh Gopi-starrer ‘Chintamani Kolakkes’ which went on to become a big hit.
The new film will see Prithvi again don the police officer’s uniform. He had first played the super cop in ‘Sathyam’. Then he enacted the role of a corrupt policeman in Vargam .
The Mammoottys and Mohanlals had better watch out. Prithviraj is here to stay!
