Malayalam mega superstar Mohanlal has taken a leaf out of his megastar rival, Mammootty .
Like Mammootty, Mohanlal has also decided to work with new directors. It marks a significant departure from the norm for Mohanlal, who has hitherto played safe by working only with big and established directors like Priyadarshan , Fazil and Sathyan Anthiccad.
But a close look at his films in 2007 and the future projects shows that he has decided to fraternize with younger directors.
For instance, his latest film ‘Chota Mumbai’ was directed by a new director Anwar Rashid, says the buzz.
Again, for another film in the making, ‘Hello’, it is Rafi-McCartin who wields the baton.
Then, there are two more in the kitty: ‘Paradesi’ being directed by PT Kunhimohammed and ‘Akasa Gopuram’ by K. P. Kumaran.
So, it can well and truly be said that Mohanlal is on to a new track. And experimentation has always been a passion with him.
