The answer to that question is: Meera Jasmine . The National Award winner has, over the years, climbed up the popularity chart steadily to become the top heroine. 
The tiding is that currently, Meera commands a fee of Rs 15 lakh - the amount she was paid for her latest movie, ‘Vinodayatra’ in the company of Dileep . For her earlier hit films like ‘Achuvinte Amma’ and ‘Rasathantra’, Ms Jasmine got a remuneration of Rs 13 and Rs 14 lakh respectively. Ever since she scored a hat trick of success, Meera, says, the buzz, may get Rs 16 lakh for her in the making movie, ‘Calcutta News’. In the process, she has left other heroines in Mollywood way behind, among them Kavya Madhavan , who commands a fee of Rs seven lakh. Of course, it is a different matter that compared to the remuneration Malayalam heroines get in Tamil films and Telugu film world, this is a pittance.
