Four flops in a row are enough to scare the daylights out of even an established superstar.
When such a fate befalls a comparatively newcomer, it gives him/her the creeps, for sure.
The heroine, who has been a victim of this misfortune is none other than Vivacious Vimala Raman .
Vimala had a dream debut of sorts in Malayalam cinema when she was signed to play action hero Suresh Gopi 's leading lady in ‘Time’.
Then she went on to sign up two more films, ‘Pranayakalam’ and ‘Sooryan’ with Jayaram, says the buzz.
But as ill luck would have it, all the three films did not do well at the box office, giving the actress a real nightmare.
It was with much hopes that she looked forward to ‘Nasrani’ in the august company of megastar Mammootty . But to her utter dismay, even ‘Nasrani’ had an indifferent run.
Desperate to avoid being dubbed as a flop heroine, Ms Raman is hoping that films like ‘College Kumaran’ in which the other megastar Mohanlal is her hero, and ‘Calcutta News’ with Dilip in the male lead, will break her run of bad luck.
