Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan shares with his Malayalam counterpart Mohanlal a passion for creativity. Not for him the humdrum and work-a-day routine. Change and novelty are the mantras that spice up Kamal's reel life.
So, the superstar indulges in his passion for experimentation, once again. This time the dapper hero has decided to hop across to do a film in Kannada!
The last time he acted in a Kannada movie was almost 18 years ago. Incidentally, the Kannada film will be a remake of his earlier Tamil super hit Sati Leelavathi. The Kannada remake will feature Urvashi and Shruthi as well.
Another reason why he has preferred to dabble in Kannada movies is that his close aide Ramesh Arvind who will be directing the movie titled Rama Shyama Bhama. Incidentally, Ramesh had acted in Sati Leelavathi as well.
That being the case, the thrill of a rewarding ride on Mumbai Xpress , which is running to packed houses, is over for the 50-plus Tamil superstar. It's time to do something that sets the adrenalin racing.
Meanwhile, the air is thick with speculation that Telugu film maker Rama Naidu is in talks with Kamal Haasan. If the talks fructify, you shall soon see the consummate actor doing a Telugu film, too.
