Well, the buzz is that the Tollywood topper has become the first actress in south India to command a Rs 1 crore fee. So far, Sridevi had held the record for taking the highest salary in south - Rs 80 lakh in her prime days. 
The current crop of heroines including Jyothika , Asin , and Nayanthara are all getting paid in the region of Rs 40-50 lakh. One reason why heroines scramble to Telugu film world is that there the salaries are much higher than what they get in Tamil films or in Mollywood. The grapevine has it that an actress who can fetch a Rs 30 lakh fee in Kollywood would easily get double that amount in Tollywood. This is said to be apart from other facilities the heroines are given. No wonder, the big beeline for Tollywood among the Asins and Nayantharas and Jyothikas. So, to Trisha goes the distinction of having broken the glass ceiling in the matter of salary. The pretty actress is acting right now in two Telugu films and three Tamil movies. Among her prestigious projects are a film with Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi titled ‘Stalin’.
