Trisha will move away from her bubbly onscreen image to play a subdued, mature woman in Telugu movie Aadavari Matalaku Ardhaley Veruley.
The film, directed by Sri Raghava and produced by Shanam Naga Ashok Kumar, has Trisha pairing with Venkatesh . The movie is based on a female-centric theme. It tells a story of a girl who does many unsavory things after being compelled by unfortunate circumstances. For Trisha, this role is a big departure from her bubbly and charming onscreen image.
Even the movie’s hero, Venkatesh, has several emotional moments in the flick. He is quoted as saying that he wept “real tears” for many portions in the film. So much, that it took a toll on his eyes.
Some reports suggest that actor Sriram will also play a significant role in the film.
The movie is expected to hit the theatres in February 2007.
Meanwhile, Trisha’s movie Stalin is still enjoying a good run at the box-office.
