Nikki Rana hopeful of Miss India Worldwide Crown

Nikki Rana , the current Miss India-UK titleholder, is hopeful of winning the Miss India Worldwide Crown contest to be held in Mumbai on Feb 4.

The contest will see participants from 36 countries competing for the coveted tiara.

Twenty-year-old Nikki, a model, a sports science student and a Bollywood aspirant, is tipped as one of the strong favourites to win the title.

Nikki too wants to clinch the title to make it the second consecutive year when a girl from UK wins the crown. The current Miss India Worldwide titleholder is Amrita Hunjan , who was Miss India-UK winner before Nikki.

An IANS report quotes Nikki as saying: “I am really looking forward to the world finals and proud to be representing the UK at a global event. There is some pressure on me to win this event since Amrita won it last year.”

Amrita too is very hopeful of Nikki’s chances.

“I think she will take the world title, Nikki is extremely strong in all areas, she has a great look and is very confident and intelligent, I wish her well,” Amrita is quoted as saying.

Pressure or not, Nikki is thrilled just at the thought of the entire experience of the contest and her possible chances of a breakthrough into Bollywood that it may bring.

“Whatever happens I am sure it is going to be a great experience and I will look to enjoy every minute of it. It is my ambition to become a Bollywood actress and this is the best platform anyone can ask for... this is a dream come true to me and I will make it count,” she is quoted by IANS as saying.

Miss India Worldwide contest is held every year since it began in 1990.
