Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone to walk the ramp

The stars of Om Shanti Om will walk the ramp to display the costumes worn by them in the film.

As the film’s release date draws near, the publicity campaign is going in top gear. And since the characters in ‘OSO’ have a unique styling (with a dash of the 1970s), what better way to promote the film than by displaying the costumes.

Yes, the movie’s stars – Shah Rukh Khan , Deepika Padukone , Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade – will walk the ramp in a special fashion show on October 9 at the Grand Hyatt to model the costumes worn by them in the movie.

One part of the film’s story is set in 1977. So the characters wear clothes from that era.

Deepika Padukone will walk the ramp in sarees and hairdos that will remind of the fashion of the ‘70s. Similarly, Arjun Rampal will be seen in long-collared leather jackets that heroes of that era used to wear. Shreyas Talpade would walk the ramp in printed shirts with pop art from the flower power era.

Shah Rukh, on the other hand, will wear contemporary clothes, the ones that he dons in the latter half of the movie. May be he would also flaunt his six-pack abs on the ramp.

SRK doesn’t walk the ramp often, but he is making an exception in this case.

Not just the fashion show, the producers have tied up with Shopper’s Stop to launch two clotheslines based on ‘OSO’ theme. The first will be a retro line inspired from the fashion trend of 70s. The other will be a contemporary line.

In the movie, the styling and costumes were done by Manish Malhotra , Karan Johar and Sanjiv Mulchandani.

‘OSO’ will release on November 9.
