HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | FASHION Indian designers head for Dubai Fashion Week18th Sept 2008 12.25 IST By Agencies Four Indian fashion designers are set to showcase their seasonal collections at the upcoming Dubai Fashion Week. To be held from October 5 to 9, the event will see participation from Vikram Phadnis , Troy Costa, Alecca Carrano and Charu Parashar. The Indian quartet will rub shoulders with the other leading and emerging names in the world of fashion from Gulf countries, Australia and Pakistan. 
The Spring/Summer 2009 edition will be the fourth seasonal installment of Dubai Fashion Week that aims to establish Dubai's position in the global fashion industry. "Dubai Fashion Week is quickly gaining the reputation as one of the most important and must-attend fashion trade events on the region's fashion calendar, not only for buyers but also for stylists and all industry insiders," Advisory board member for Dubai Fashion Week, Zayan Ghandour said. Dubai Fashion Week offers a platform to display the season's upcoming collections and trends for the retail buyers and fashion professionals. "There is increasing enthusiasm for Dubai Fashion Week and each new season reflects this with a growth in interest," the Director of Fashion and Concept events Rohit Sabikhi said.
