Bollywood actress Masumeh Makhija might land a role in the popular British television series ‘Sharpe’.
Masumeh, who was last seen in the ‘High On The Highway’ episode of Sanjay Gupta’s film Dus Kahaniyan , reportedly met the leading star of ‘Sharpe’, Sean Bean, at a club in London that is frequently visited by English actors, directors and producers.
It was there Sean Bean noticed Masumeh and approached her. The conversation got more engaging when Sean found out that Masumeh is herself an actress. In between their talks Sean told her that she should act in ‘Sharpe’.
Masumeh has confirmed to a Mumbai tabloid that she is in talks with Sean for a role in the TV series.
However, before finalizing anything Masumeh is looking forward to meet the producers of Sharpe. If the deal comes through Masumeh will be part of the next episode titled ‘Sharpe’s Peril’ which is likely to be shot in India. It will also feature another Indian actress, Nandana Sen .
‘Sharpe’ is based on a number of novels by Bernard Cornwell. It tells the fictional story of a British soldier in Napoleonic wars.
