Freida Pinto regrets lack of privacy

Ever since she catapulted to international stardom with the box office success and Oscar sweep of Slumdog Millionaire , Freida Pinto’s private live has been dragged out on to the pages of tabloids and dirty linen washed in public.

Be it the brouhaha over her broken engagement with her ex fiancée or the photographs of her private moments with co-star Dev Patel , Freida personal life has been fodder for entertainment scoops.


“One thing I have found difficult is the lack of privacy. I'm constantly asked if Dev and I are in a relationship, and I don't know what to say,” Pinto told Daily Mail online.

When asked to come clean on her relationship with Dev, Freida evaded a candid reply.

“He's a really, really, great guy, and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful co-star. He's adorable, and a good friend. He always will be,” she replied.

Freida also did not deny that she broke off her engagement with ex-beau Rohan Antao.

“I was engaged to actor Rohan Antao, but we broke up at the end of last year. Things happen and you have to learn to deal with them,” Pinto said.

The actress is shooting for Israeli film 'Miral' in Tel Aviv.
