I'm itching to get back in front of the camera: Anushka

She could not have asked for a better debut film and a better banner to start her acting career with. Anushka, who's under a contract with Yashraj Films for two more movies, is waiting for her project to roll.

"They (Yash Raj) will have to decide what I'm doing next. I realise I love the process of acting. I'm also itching to get back in front of the camera," said Anushka, whose next film would have her romancing Shahid Kapur . It would be a musical on the lines of Rock On .


Meanwhile, Anushka, who hardly has any friends in the industry, hasn't bid adieu to the modeling world.

"I love the ramp and the backstage banter. I moved to Mumbai a year ago. Movies were not a priority. I don't come from a film background, don't know how the industry works. I didn't know anyone here," she is quoted as saying by IANS.

The pretty damsel also admits that making a transition from modeling to acting wasn't very difficult for her.

"Even modelling is a kind of performance. On the ramp you are representing a concept. In a film you're projecting an individual. But the transition wasn't hard for me. Because in real life I'm as simple as the girl I play in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi," she said.

In fact, Anushka is so cool about not being a glam doll in films, she's ready to don saris for the next YR film if need be.

"I can always get into chiffon saris in the next Yash Raj film. Or the one after that...," Anushka said.
