HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | MUSIC Yana Gupta is on song with Dr Zeus08th Apr 2008 17.30 IST By ApunKaChoice Czech beauty Yana Gupta makes her singing debut in UK-based Punjabi singer Dr Zeus' new album. Titled ‘Back Unda The Influence’, the album has Yana crooning two songs – “Aag Ka Dariya” and “Na Koi Khayal” – for which Yana has teamed up with singer Shortie aka Little Fox, who is known for somewhat ludicrous style of singing rap.
Yana has herself penned the lyrics of the two songs. The lyrics have a few Punjabi words as well. She has also shot a music video. Speaking to mediapersons at the album’s release ceremony in Mumbai on Monday, Yana said: "I play guitar, I write poetry and so writing songs comes naturally to me." Yana, who catapulted to fame with her item song ‘Babuji Zara Dheere Chalo’, added that she has been working on a jazz album for the last few years. However, the album had to be scrapped. Instead she is now coming up with a solo English pop album in the UK soon. While she gets busy with her music career, Yana is not saying goodbye to Bollywood. On her wishlist is an out-and-out musical film in which she could sing, dance and act as well. Are Bollywood producers listening?
