Ahista Ahista Preview
Ahista Ahista is quite an atypical love story by Bollywood standards.
The film stars Abhay Deol , Soha Ali Khan and Shyan Munshi . While Soha has had her share of important roles in some films, Abhay has so far been seen in one movie Socha Na Tha .
In 'Ahista Ahista', Soha plays Megha, a girl from Nainital. Megha is madly in love with Dheeraj (Shyan Munshi) and it is after some provocation from him Megha runs away from her home to get married to him in Delhi.
Abhay Deol plays a down-to-earth guy named Ankush, who works as a witness in the Delhi's marriage registrar bureau.
One day he sees a girl dressed in her wedding sari, waiting for someone at the marriage bureau. The girl is Megha. She has been ditched by Dheeraj after promise of marriage. Megha is stranded in the city, as she cannot go back to her home.
It is then Ankush helps her. He gives her moral support and helps her find a job. Gradually, Ankush himself is able to find a better job and make a decent living.
Slowly but surely, Ankush and Megha are drawn towards each other. But just before the crucial moment in their relationship, Dheeraj returns. He repents for having dumped Megha and pleads her to return.
Whom will Megha choose?
The film has been shot in Old Delhi and some part of Nainital. It's director, Shivam Nair says he did not want to stylize the romance between the two leading characters in the film. Moreover, the film's skimpy budget could not permit any outdoor shoots at exotic locations. So the movie was shot in Ranikhet and Almora (Nainital), Jama Masjid and Lal Quila (Delhi) and Agriculture College in Pune and Lonavala.
The script of 'Ahista Ahista' has been written by Imtiaz Ali, who earlier directed Abhay's first film 'Socha Na Tha'. Himesh Reshammiya has composed the movie's music and has sung four songs in it.
