Antichrist--a very graphic movie --as in BEWARE before you go!!

This film is thought provoking in its exploration of themes like grief, despair, & agony. In the prologue, a copulating couple's only child falls to his death. At first the viewer is led to believe in the mother's grief being genuine until her true twisted nature finally surfaces. It is quite a twist on misogyny, to say the least. The roles of He and She are played convincingly by Willem DeFoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg --with both characters suffering genital mutilation at the hands of She. I have never before seen so many people cover their faces and groan so loudly at a movie. It puts that famous slashed eye in "Un Chien Andalou" (circa 1930's) by Louis Bunniel and Salvador Dali in the dust. A must see --but only for the most daring movie-goers with the stoutest appetites for GORE to the max. This movie goes beyond the horror genre... the depths of its psychosis is more than overwhelming...
