Watch the ‘Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola’ song ‘Oye Boy Charlie’ featuring Anushka Sharma and Imran Khan. It seems Vishal Bhardwaj is still hung up on the name Charlie -- Shahid Kapoor’s screen name in the superhit Kaminey. His upcoming film Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola has a track titled Oye Boy Charlie, crooned by his wife Rekha Bhardwaj.

When it’s a director like Vishal Bhardwaj, expect something unusual and out of the ordinary. So, don’t be surprised when you see Pankaj Kapur lost in his thoughts at the beginning of the video, looking at a pink buffalo with affection. The pink buffalo, fondly named Gulabo, is the surprise element in the film.

The razzmatazz in the video starts when Anushka Sharma comes into the picture. The actress, dressed in fusion attire, sings Oye Boy Charlie in a karaoke party. Actor Arya Babbar also features in the song along with Imran Khan.

For the video, some scenes of Anushka Sharma with Imran Khan are also spliced in the song sequence, further making it entertaining and engaging. However, the real fun lies in watching Pankaj Kapur’s dance moves. The actor may not have learnt dancing from beta Shahid Kapoor, but does manage to sway his hips.

Oye Boy Charlie is a desi number with Hinglish lyrics, sung by the awesome trio of Rekha Bhardwaj, Shankar Mahadevan and Mohit Chauhan. While the music is by Vishal Bhardwaj, lyrics are by Gulzaar. Also the song’s tune reminds us of the retro hit Tauba Yeh Matwali Chal featuring Manoj Kumar and Mumtaz.
