Video - Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji in 'Talaash' song ‘Jee Le Zaraa’

Aamir Khan and Rani Mukerji are a married couple torn by a family tragedy in the new Talaash song ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. The song, penned beautifully by Javed Akhtar, is an evocation to endorse life again by exorcising the ghosts of the tragic past.

Crooned on a high pitch by Vishal Dadlani and composed Aamir’s new favourite Ram Sampath, ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ echoes the tragedy that has riven the once happy family apart. Aamir Khan, playing a cop, goes through the motions of his daily duties, lost in the thoughts of the son he and his wife (Rani Mukerji) had.

There are flashbacks of the couple and their son making a happy family, of how the son sneaked in while Rani and Aamir cuddled up under the sheets, of how happily they once posed for the family picture. Alas, those are now just the happy memories of their grim present. Now, they are together, but far apart. They lie in bed together but are distant.

“Main hoon gumsum, tu bhi khamosh hai, sach hai samay ka hi sab dosh hai, dhadkan dhadkan ikk gham rehta hai, yun jaane kyon phir bhi dil kehta hai, Jee Le Zaraa,” goes the opening lines.

Talaash is a suspense thriller centred on the mysterious murders that inspector Surjan Singh Shekhawat (Aamir Khan) is investigating. The film is directed by Reema Kagti and also stars Kareena Kapoor. It is slated to release on November 30.
